Team Support. You will be supported by a team of experienced staff, including a program attorney, case coordinator, staff and the statewide office.

Website: The statewide website (www.GuardianadLitem.org) continues to develop as a useful resource that includes up-to-date searchable case summaries, legislative updates, Conferences and Training, Resources by Topic (Independent Living, Domestic Violence, Mental Health , Education, Legal Research and Writing, Keeping Children Safe Act, Adoption Subsidies, Psychotropic Medications, ASFA), Teen Resources, and links to statutory and administrative materials.

Newsletters: The Program’s Legal Briefs Newsletter provides case summaries and articles reinforcing general areas of practice as well as instruction on complex legal issues. The newsletter is available who have an interest in Florida dependency law and can be accessed through the website. You can also sign up on the website to have the Legal Briefs Newsletter delivered to your e-mail in box.

The Practice Bulletin provides a summary of an important dependency topic (such as Proving Nexus, Master Trusts, Education), with case summaries, and links to even more information.  You can receive the Practice Bulletin via e-mail, by by signing up on the website.  Archived editions of the Bulletin are located on the statewide website in the Legal Resources /Archived Newsletters section.

Forms Bank: The Program has developed a collection of legal forms. The forms include sample motions and assorted legal memoranda. You will have access to legal forms and resources. Click here to view a list of legal forms currently available. Legal Forms are also available upon request.

Monthly Conference Call Trainings: You have the option to take part in monthly training conference calls for CLE credit. Simply ask the case coordinator to submit your name and e-mail address to be part of the conference call information distribution list. The Statewide Guardian ad Litem Program provides these monthly trainings free of charge.

Dependency Practice Manual: The Florida Guardian ad Litem Dependency Practice Manual uses experts in the field to explain the path of a dependency case.  Each chapter offers practice aids and useful practice tips to put dependency law into motion to help children.  Other topics such as Developmental Disabilities, Education and Independent Living are also included in the on-line manual.
